Marg Latham

Marg Latham, President, Aqua Libra Consulting Ltd., is a professional engineer and certified management consultant. Through her business, Marg helps clients improve professional practice, quality management and project delivery. Clients include the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure of BC, City of Vancouver, Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC, Opus, WSP, Urban Systems, Binnie, Omicron and other consulting engineering firms.

Marg was vice president with consulting engineering firms, UMA and AECOM from 2000 to 2009. Early in her career she managed institutional, residential and infrastructure projects in Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver. She is one of a very few women in Canada to have been in the role of construction superintendent. She graduated in civil engineering from Queen’s University in 1974 as the only women in her civil engineering class of 45 and one of 7 women to graduate from Queen’s in engineering that year.

In 2001 she was named “Outstanding Woman in Construction”; an award co-presented by Vancouver Regional Construction Association and Canadian Construction Women.

Marg is Vice Chair of the Canadian Centre for Women in Science, Engineering, Trades and Technology (WinSETT Centre) and actively volunteers her time to increase the number of women in engineering and construction.
