Gord Smith

Gord has 28 years of industry experience, more than 25 of them with BTY. As BTY’s Operations Director, Gord works closely with the Managing Director to ensure alignment between the firm’s business operations and growth strategy. Gord has led the planning and administration of BTY’s business structure and practices that have supported the firm’s expansion. Under his leadership, BTY also developed the standards for reporting on technical due diligence and independent certification services that are an integral part of the Canadian PPP model. His technical expertise and mentorship have positioned BTY as one of the top PPP Advisors globally.

A Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Gord’s areas of expertise include Technical Advisory, Independent Certification, Project Monitoring and Transaction Advisory services.
