Sophie Morin is the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Pomerleau, one of Canada’s largest construction companies. With more than 20 years of experience in the infrastructure sector, she leads the Legal Affairs function, overseeing contracts, prevention, dispute resolution and litigation, and project support, along with the ethics and compliance, governance and corporate services, and corporate affairs and investments teams.
Recognized for her cuttingedge expertise in the construction industry, her intellectual rigor, and her ability to build trusted relationships, Sophie is also known for her deep understanding of operations. Having spent a decade working on two major construction sites, she brings a rare, handson perspective that strengthens her strategic role in the successful delivery of Pomerleau’s major projects. She is a key contributor to the evolution of contractual and legal practices at a time of industry transformation.
A frequent speaker at industry forums, Sophie is known for her ability to make complex issues accessible and to mobilize stakeholders around innovative and sustainable solutions.
She was a finalist for WIN’s 2025 Outstanding Leader Award and received the 2025 General Counsel of the Year Award at the 11th edition of the ZSA Quebec Legal Counsel Awards.
