Jo-anne Moore, P.Eng. is a civil engineer with 20 years’ experience in municipal infrastructure design and construction, project management, and infrastructure standards. Her project portfolio includes water and wastewater facilities, straightforward rehabilitation of road, water and sewer, specialty projects such as snow disposal and emergency response for a collapsed outfall, and complex multi-disciplinary projects partnered with Federal agencies—the most interesting of which included picking up and moving two historic houses to make room for new cycling lanes on Canada’s Confederation Boulevard. She has a passion for teambuilding and collaboration, which she’s displayed on high profile projects such as Bank Street Glebe (design phase) and Elgin Street Renewal (construction phase). Most recently, she has transitioned to a management role at the City of Ottawa in order to set up a dedicated asset management team to focus on water and wastewater facilities such as treatment plants, pump stations, and storage facilities. Jo-anne enjoys yoga, cycling, skiing, and travelling with her husband and two young sons.
