Myriam Langlois

Senior Director, Commercial and Business Planning
Alto

2026 WIN Awards Emerging Leader Finalist

From the earliest stages of her career, Myriam demonstrated a level of leadership well beyond her formal role. In her very first week at Steer, she was tasked with analyzing a complex data for the REM corridor. She not only the technical quality of her work, but has an instinctive ability to interpret results, articulate implications, and propose pragmatic next steps. That ability to connect data, strategy, and decision-making has remained a defining strength throughout her career. Today, as a leader at Alto, Myriam leads the development of the Business Plan for Canada’s largest rail infrastructure program and serves as an exceptional public-sector client. Myriam sets the standard for effective, accountable client leadership on a complex infrastructure program. She has a rare capacity to understand how decisions in one discipline ripple across others, including their broader political and institutional implications, while remaining deeply pragmatic about what is achievable and what should come next. Myriam builds relationships grounded in trust, transparency, and mutual accountability. She empowers her advisors while maintaining rigorous governance and high expectations. She is firm when required, precise in her expectations, and unfailingly respectful of others’ time and perspectives. Her leadership style combines rigor with kindness, and confidence with collaboration. This balanced, systems-level approach has materially improved decision-making, reduced delivery risk, and strengthened Alto’s institutional capacity to govern, coordinate, and deliver the project at a critical moment in alignment with the public interest.
