My name is Kary and I am Anishinaabe with my mother’s family roots in Frenchman’s Head FN (Treaty 3) and my father’s from Glasgow, Scotland. I am a very soon-to-be retired Project Executive with Executive Council Office for the Province of Nova Scotia. With two decades of public service in Ontario and Nova Scotia and two decades of consulting for local and international organizations, I support provinces, communities and organizations envision, plan for and execute resilient and agile solutions for awesome futures. Certified in Strategic Foresight and Agile Project Management with an MBA and extensive management training, I believe that women hold the key to building our future and worked with some of the most brilliant women on the east coast to set up WIN Halifax/Atlantic. I’m looking forward to watching and celebrating these women and others grow as I trade my cabinet post to tend to my small working farm, flock and family on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia.
